Ironhorse Music Group’s producer/songwriter Doug Simpson’s track “Big City” featuring Slim of Euphon has been added to the Universal Pictures feature film FAST FIVE. The film starring Vin Diesel, Paul Walker and Dwayne Johnson is set for release in theatres and IMAX on April 29th, 2011. “Big City” is from Doug’s 2009 EP Sketches and is available now as a free download here via BandCamp.

UNIVERSAL PICTURE’S FAST FIVE GETS MORE HORSEPOWER
Ironhorse Music Group recording artists Doug Simpson and Euphon’s music to be featured in latest installment of the adrenaline-charged franchise.
NEW YORK, APRIL 8, 2011 – Doug Simpson’s “Big City” and Euphon’s “Industrial Revolution (OA)” will be featured in the Universal Pictures release Fast Five starring Vin Diesel, Paul Walker and Dwayne Johnson.
The songs, produced by Ironhorse Music Group’s in-house production team The Aqua League (Doug Simpson & Kareem Knight), will lend score support to the fast-paced action drama series. The Aqua League has had its music featured on several shows and reality series on MTV, MTV2, The Speed Network, Vh1 and Bravo as well as commercial and straight-to-DVD releases. Through its partnership with Indigi Music, this is Ironhorse Music Group’s first foray into major motion pictures.
Doug Simpson’s “Big City” featuring Slim of Euphon is from the producer/songwriter’s 2009 EP Sketches while Euphon’s “Industrial Revolution (OA)” is from the duo’s 2007 release A Brief History of The Future. Fast Five is set for release in theatres and IMAX on April 29th, 2011.
FAST FIVE SYNOPSIS
Vin Diesel and Paul Walker lead a reunion of returning all-stars from every chapter of the explosive franchise built on speed in Fast Five. In this installment, former cop Brian O’Conner (Paul Walker) partners with ex-con Dom Toretto (Vin Diesel) on the opposite side of the law. Dwayne Johnson joins returning favorites Jordana Brewster, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, Tyrese Gibson, Sung Kang, Gal Gadot, Matt Schulze, Tego Calderon and Don Omar for this ultimate high-stakes race. Since Brian and Mia Toretto (Brewster) broke Dom out of custody, they’ve blown across many borders to elude authorities. Now backed into a corner in Rio de Janeiro, they must pull one last job in order to gain their freedom. As they assemble their elite team of top racers, the unlikely allies know their only shot of getting out for good means confronting the corrupt businessman who wants them dead. But he’s not the only one on their tail. Hard-nosed federal agent Luke Hobbs (Johnson) never misses his target. When he is assigned to track down Dom and Brian, he and his strike team launch an all-out assault to capture them. But as his men tear through Brazil, Hobbs learns he can’t separate the good guys from the bad. Now, he must rely on his instincts to corner his prey…before someone else runs them down first.

Ironhorse Music Group songwriter/producer Doug Simpson has released two singles from his forthcoming project, Rough Draught. The single “Above The Clouds” features ReddOktobba recording artist Coole High, while the second single “Rules of Engagement” features appearances by Black Pearl Music recording artist Mr. Wonderful and fellow IHMG recording artist and producer Slim.
The maxi-single’s track list includes instrumental and a cappella versions of “Above The Clouds” as well as instrumental and a cappella versions of “Rules of Engagement”, which is presented in street and radio formats.
Produced by The Aqua League (Doug Simpson, Slim), the IHMG in-house duo has provided production for Euphon, DougSimpson’s previous project Sketches, Top $ Raz, Sleepwalkas, Fresh Aire, Tri-boro, Pete Colon, Niles, Prezzure, Alternative Soul artist The Sistah, Likwuid and Eternia.

In anticipation of his upcoming release, Rough Draft, Ironhorse Music Group LLC producer/recording artist DougSimpson’s EP Sketches is being released as an instrumental project entitled Sketches – The Instrumentals.
The single “Big City” featured Slim of Euphon and was the first off of Doug’s EP. Released in March, “Big City” has been featured on MTV’s Real World: Brooklyn as well as the title song for comedian Owen Smith’s live stand-up comedy DVD entitled Anonymous.
Production has been provided by Slim and Doug also known as The Aqua League. The duo has provided soundscapes for Slim’s Hip-Hop group Euphon, Alternative Soul artist The Sistah, The Aqua League’s The Repositioning LP and instrumental LP The Velvet Gentleman as well as music production for MTV, MTV2, The Speed Network and Bravo for shows like MTV Cribs, Run’s House, True Life, Made and Millionaire Matchmaker, to name a few.
